Group Expenses
Fair, simple, sorted after the trip

🏰 House Rules
It's someone's actual château. Leave it better than you found it.
Pool
No glass near the pool. Towels provided. Hang them to dry after use.
Kitchen
Communal space. Clean as you go, even if it's not your rota day.
Noise
Keep it down after midnight outside. We have neighbours.
Bins
Recycling and general waste separated. Take bags out when full.
Checkout
Mon 4 May. All hands on deck. Strip beds, hoover, wipe surfaces before we leave.
Breakages
Accidents happen. Just tell Joe and we'll sort it together.
🪩 PopWorld Theme Night
Fancy dress is mandatory. Come as anyone iconic from 1990 to 1999. Musician, film character, TV icon, sportsperson. We're bringing PopWorld to France. The more committed the better. Best costume wins.

What if I'm arriving late or leaving early?
No problem! Let Joe know via WhatsApp so we can sort transport. The key day is Saturday 2nd May (Joe's birthday), so try to be there for that!
Is there WiFi at the château?
Yes, there's WiFi. But it's rural France, so don't expect fibre speeds. Perfect excuse to unplug for a few days.
Do I need travel insurance / GHIC card?
Yes! Get travel insurance and make sure your GHIC card (replaced EHIC) is valid. Apply free at nhs.uk if you don't have one.
How do the teams and games work?
26 players split into 4 teams, revealed on arrival night. Every game, challenge, and cooking duty earns points. The winning team gets trophies at Sunday's closing ceremony. Full details on the Games page.
What should I budget beyond the group expenses?
Budget for meals out, personal drinks, and activity costs. France uses Euros. Most places take card but bring some cash for markets and smaller spots.
What if I can't handle my drink?
You're in a chateau in rural France with 25 of your mates. Nobody's judging. Pace yourself, hydrate, and remember, there's a pool to fall into.
Can I skip the games?
Technically yes. But your team needs you, and the losing team faces a forfeit. So no, not really.
