6 days of adventure, food, and fun at Château Roussignol
A week of adventure, good food, and great company
✈️ Main group: Ryanair, Stansted → Poitiers, departs 05:55. Some guests travelling independently or on different flights — everyone aims to arrive at the chateau by late afternoon.
Very early start — set multiple alarms! 1.5hr drive, aim to arrive at airport by 3:55am for a 2-hour check-in window.
Ryanair to Poitiers — 1hr 30m. Bonjour la France!
Pick up hire cars and regroup. We're in France!
Loose wander — find a café, get croissants, explore the medieval old town. Notre-Dame la Grande church is worth a look.
Main group drives straight to the chateau (~1hr). One car peels off at Le Blanc for the big food & booze shop (Carrefour/Lidl).
Walk in to a stocked fridge — chateau pre-stocked on arrival. Shopping car arrives shortly after with the bulk supplies.
Bulk wine, beer, BBQ supplies and food for the week lands. Everyone unpack and get settled.
First dip in the pool, wander the grounds, explore the chateau. You've been up since 2am — soak it all in.

First full morning at the chateau — pick your vibe. Everyone back together for lunch, then the team battles begin. Breakfast is casual today: croissants and pastries, help yourself.
Early start — Golf du Val de l'Indre, 9 holes on a beautiful parkland course. ~50 min drive, ~£65/pp inc. club hire. Perfect lads' morning, back by lunch.
Sophie leads a yoga session on the lawn, followed by a gentle walk through the chateau grounds. Peaceful, scenic, no alarm needed.
First proper morning at the chateau — no judgment. Croissants and coffee waiting whenever you surface.
Charcuterie, cheese, baguettes, rosé. No team cooking — help yourself. Golfers back, stories incoming.

Teams race down the Creuse river — past castles, through the countryside (~€15-18/pp). Life jackets provided. Points up for grabs!
Canoes in, cars out. Shuttle back, then on to lunch.
Angles-sur-l'Anglin — medieval ruins, river views, crêperies and rosé. A proper French afternoon. (~30 min drive from Le Blanc)
Recover from the paddling. Last swim of the afternoon, soak it all in before the evening.
Freshen up — tonight's a good one.
Private sommelier brings Loire Valley wines — blind tasting competition between teams. Points on the line.
Pre-birthday eve meal — set the tone for tomorrow. Make it a good one.
